Faith Children’s and Student Ministries Policies and Procedures
Four Safety Steps
Thank you for your willingness to serve in Faith Presbyterian Church's Children's and Student Ministries! We have recently updated our Policies and Procedures with the goal of protecting our children and students from abuse and protecting staff and volunteers from false accusations.
All Children's and Student Ministries staff and volunteers (both new and continuing) are required to complete four safety steps: 1) Application Process, 2) Policies & Procedures Acknowledgement, 3) Sexual Abuse Awareness Training, and 4) National Criminal Background Check.
Complete the online Confidential Safety Application. New volunteers will also receive an email with instructions to obtain two references. Expect to spend 10—15 minutes on this application. (If you prefer to complete this step on paper, you may download and print this PDF. Paper forms must be submitted in the locked box located in the church office.)
Read and acknowledge Faith Presbyterian Church’s Children’s and Student Ministries Policies and Procedures. Expect to spend 30—40 minutes on this step. (If you prefer to complete this step on paper, you may download and print this PDF. Paper forms must be submitted in the locked box located in the church office.)
After Steps 1 and 2 have been received and reviewed by Faith Church staff, you will receive an email invitation to complete an online course on Sexual Abuse Awareness Training. Expect to spend 60—90 minutes on this step.
You will receive an email that prompts you to begin a Criminal Background Check online. Expect to spend 1—3 minutes on this step. Thank you for your time!
